I prefer to listen to the stories by the individual who lived the experiences and has the terminology down, which some narrators really suffer from and it detracts from the storytelling & reader/listener impact. A soldier's story. As hilarious as David is, he did a good job showing his dramatic side in his role as soldier Cobb. As much as today's audiences are likely to be drawn to the film due to Denzel Washington, Howard Rollins', Adolph Caesar's, and Larry Riley's performances are nothing less than powerful. Waters hated him because he considered him an embarrassment to the Black race for shucking, jiving, grinning & guitar-picking. Regarder A soldier's story En Haute Qualité 1080p, 720p. I loved the film, it was a great suspense thriller that brought the injustices of the time to light but never fails to waiver from uncovering the culprit responsible for murder irrespective of colour and ethnicity!

The lead actors led by Adolph Caesar and Howard Rollins carry this movie as does the stage play this is based on (written by Charles Fuller).

David Allan Grier was good in this movie, he is a hilarious comedienne, I have loved him since his time on "In Living Color," especially when he & Tommy Davidson did the duo of "Funky Finger Productions." Jewison also makes some hackneyed statements about race throughout. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. Adolph Caesar was also awesome in his role as Sergeant Waters, the raspy-talking, mean-spirited, self-loathing person who loved demeaning his own Black soldiers, especially CJ who was a great blues singer & great baseball player.
