Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy. While it has some problems, Dark Phoenix is an entertaining film that unfortunately brings an end to the Fox chapter of this franchise.
Close to non-existing action, it's incredible that at this point in the superhero genre, we still get floppy films like this one.

I feel like I remember being much more angry walking out of Last Stand than this one. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. Jean senses what she must do, and flies up in the sky dragging Chastain along, and they both explode. It's not as bad as others make it out to be to be and still is a worthwhile pass of time, only lacking the oomph people come to expect from the genre.
