I love this movie to death I love it. The Prowler is an alias used by several fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. By far my favourite of the early eighties dorm slashers, THE PROWLER is an excellent and exciting film brought to the screen with finesse by Joseph Zito. Married insurance adjuster John Forbes falls for femme fatale Mona Stevens while her boyfriend is in jail and all suffer serious consequences as a result. Officer Webb Garwood and his partner answer the call but do not find anyone. I purchased, "The Prowler" on DVD a few years ago. A female high school student's slumber party turns into a bloodbath, as a newly escaped psychotic serial killer wielding a power drill prowls her neighborhood. There is an inquest and it is ruled that John Gilvray's death was not intentional. Webb Garwood senses her vulnerability and pounces, figuratively and literally. One thing I liked is that they're not gory or so shocking that you might have trouble eating meat-lover's lasagna after watching the movie. One of the best gore overdone death scenes I ever saw in the movie.Looking for something to watch? She'll leave you with some bite marks, too; giving a believable performance as a married woman without children, and lonely. Webb sees an opening for himself with the vulnerable housewife who is left alone each night. She isn't QUITE alone, as the radio is always on.
