There is a wealth of knowledge in each episode and I have watched this series 2-3 times myself This is one of the best series ever been produced by India's television series on the religious/devotional theme. Directed by Amaan Khan. But his great sacrifice for his father was to cost him and his kingdom dearly in the coming future. Video availability outside of United States varies. I love how concise the story is and also hits all the major points.

In the late 2013 Mahabharat was televised on STAR Plus. I always wanted to get familiar with the Mahabharata, but I never had the time to read the very long versions out there. The film was a Christmas release on 27 December 2013.
