The only actor that anyone who saw this movie would recognize would be Bill Paxton as Coconut Pete (Yeah, try to envision that with a straight face or at least without rolling your eyes).

That's not to say that stupid is always a bad thing.

Club Dread leans real damn hard into the "comedy" side of this horror/comedy, but that was probably the better way to play Broken Lizards particular sensibilities. Even the killer is immensely creepy when revealed, and has a hilarious reason for starting his rampage, which is a joke that I still find seriously funny, even now. it was alright. The best horror films have gruesome and imaginative kills, and with the amount of bloodshed, the variety of deaths, and the murderer having an agenda and all the power in this situation, it becomes a rather riveting film. Yes every single character was the stereotype of all of the other ones, but they had island resort twists.
But I will say that the plot was funny and over the top for most of the film and in that it was good. This closely resembles the back story of the killer in the movie Terror Train
