Ok, so it is no secret that I love Elizabeth Lee and all of her books, her characters, her awesomeness, her first born...please, the list could go on and on. Why did it take me so long to read this? There is first love, new love, family drama and a storm to end all storms. When you read Storm Warning, you as a reader are thrown back in high school. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. It's just a good story about four teenagers whose summers are filled with new beginnings and new adventures. ;-) So you know I would totally love this book, right? There's too much feelings and emotions involved. But am so freaking upset that it's a cliffhanger, a brutal cliffhanger!!!! I wasn't sure how I would like four different narrators, but seriously- E. Lee and C. Quinn made it work! Hayden disgusted me through the entire book, and I despise those that think they're better than everyone because of their social and financial status. Need another excuse to treat yourself to a new book this week? Severe Storm Warning Tip #1: Be alert to changing weather conditions. However, it is confession time...and don’t hate me for it, but I had never read any book by Caisey before this one!!! Hands down, this is one of the best YA contemporaries I've ever read.
The transitions were seamless and I didn't feel like wI honestly don't even know where to start! Marine Warnings. Storm Warning completely blew me away. While I liked Kyle and Cami, I did find myself craving more of Hayden, EJ, and Coop. Their lives cross paths in some shape or form, and are so intricatley woven that each decision an individual makes, it impacts another in some other way. I was not even feeling the sample of this book because for one it is written in third person. As these characters experience first loves, insecurities of dating/expressing feelings, embracing adult hood you find yourself in a constant mode of reflection as become absorbed in these characters’ journey. I remember being that age- crushing on guys, first loves, and wondering about what the future would hold. Warnings current: Marine Wind Warning Summary for the Northern Territory, Fire Weather Warning for Carpentaria, Gregory, Darwin and Adelaide River, Northern … But all the damn reviews kept saying it was wonderful and they kept talking about the cliffhanger.
