TV Not my usual kind of movie but it's Oscar season and apparently the last you'll see Daniel Day-Lewis in a movie. PC Their relationship develops, and she moves in with him, becoming his model, muse, and lover. Phantom Thread is a 2017 American historical drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps. Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions Set in 1950s London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover. Phantom Thread is a triumphant valedictory send off for Daniel Day-Lewis, a tragicomic love letter to the agonies and ecstasies of the artist and those unlucky enough to fall in love with one. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love. Interesting, pretentious and all at once pretty to watch.

I dutifully endured the seemingly interminable story of a sick romance between an insufferable twit who dresses up overprivileged but undistinguished women for a living and a ruthlessly manipulative former waitress who manages the herculean task of manifesting even more character flaws than the dressmaker whose life and career she threatens to destroy. No idea what to think of this movie.Looking for something to watch? Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It's funny, dark, romantic and haunting.
The Hitchcock's inspiration it's undeniable and the romantic and yet haunting story really could've been a theme from one of his movies.Beautiful to watch, beautiful to listen to and the acting is superb.
